The design of the appropriate manufacturing technique leads to a problem in harmonic analysis, and to the problem of the design of a statistical experiment to accurately measure the harmonic components contributing to a measured force on the tire. Optimal designs were developed, as well as a number of useful Monte Carlo methods. MATLAB codes of the tests are provided.
